It is a little hard to see but I did use the paper towel to add the texture to the background of the card. It does give an interesting effect and is simple to do, I used Chocolate Chip ink on the off white card stock.
You have to overlook the stitching, it is not straight at all, this was my first time using a sewing machine to make the stitching. Thought this would be pretty easy, but as you can see I need a lot more practice sewing on paper. Stitching on the card was a challenge at Sherrod Studios.
The layout for the card is a sketch from MOJO MONDAY Week #121. The papers used are from Lasting Impressions. A corner punch was used to add a little more interest to the sentiment and mat.
Well, it is my Monday, and going to work. Let's see what is in store for us this week. The tourist in Las Vegas is so unpredictable with the economy down. They say things might be on the upswing, or was November just a fluck.Have a crafty day.
Very pretty, and seriously, I think your stitching is perfect for this card... lovely shabby chic look to go with the textured background and the soft colors!
